The Wilderness Center (TWC) is located in SW Stark County in Amish
country. It is unique — a self-supporting nonprofit nature center founded in
1964. Their mission is to connect people with nature, educate people of all
ages, conserve natural resources, and practice environmental stewardship.
The Ohio Mushroom Society is pleased to add this new “territory” to our
foray venues and happy to share our expertise with The Wilderness Center.

From Canton/Akron/Cleveland:

Alabama Ave. You should see our sign up on the hill. Another half mile or
so, and you’re at the entrance.
OR
You can also drive south on Rt. 21 to Navarre & turn onto Rt. 62 west &
proceed from there.
From Wooster:
Follow Rt. 250 east through Apple Creek & Mount Eaton. The Wilderness
Center is about 4 miles east of Mount Eaton. You will turn left off of Rt.
250 just before a bridge over a creek to Alabama Ave. and go the last half
mile to the entrance.
From Dover/New Philadelphia:
Travel north on 1-77 to the Strasburg exit. Exit, turn left, and drive
through Strasburg. Pass the drive-in theater and turn left onto Rt. 250 W.

and drive the last half mile to the entrance.

exit. Exit and turn left
going through Strasburg on Rt. 250 & Rt. 21. After you pass through
