Thanks for that, Jerry. I always enjoy Dick's observations on the world of fungi. I'm not as pessimistic about the morels as he is, though. Nancy and I have been having a good year in this region, actually. It has definitely been too hot and dry in some places, but we've still done well in older woods with rich soil and lots of elm-ash-poplar. I've attached some pictures from today's find, 5-9-07.
